Dr. Neil Lesinski was appointed superintendent of Community High School District 155 in July 2023, following six years of service as principal of Cary-Grove High School. He currently serves as chairperson of the Programming and Development Committee for the Illinois Association of School Administrators Kishwaukee Region, having been elected by his superintendent peers. His leadership at both the district and regional levels reflects a deep commitment to advancing educational excellence and supporting professional collaboration across Illinois.
He was named a finalist for Illinois’ 2024 Innovative Superintendent of the Year award. This recognition highlights his creative strategies to promote continuous improvement in District 155, including the development of the International Newcomer Academy and a peer teacher coaching program. His emphasis on collaboration, empathy, and active listening continues to foster a professional community that benefits both staff and students.
Dr. Lesinski earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in educational leadership, along with a Type 75 Certification from Concordia University Chicago. He then completed his doctorate in education from Aurora University.
